The company-return branch first records pei_huan.state.company_retainer_pending. storyteller-event-pei-huan-company-retainer-notice then removes Pei Huan, sets storyteller_peihuan_contract_signed_elsewhere, and leaves a recovery-only notice. The leak branch immediately recruits her into one bounded readback role.
Relationship and cost

- both branches preserve the selected sponsor-inheritance path for Rite 15;
- neither branch silently converts Pei Huan back after a miss.
Authority boundary
The recruited route asset can identify one Rite 14 branch, the assigned sponsor/inspector sides, Pei Huan’s disposition, and the record Rite 15 inherited. It grants no memory ownership, breath-allocation authority, mourning consent, archive truth, platform ownership, universal contract authority, or clean proof.
