Wardrobe Laundry Batch Identity Review
This rite reviews whether the WD-42 laundry batch can support a future costume-to-performer identity claim after tags and residues have crossed between sibling garments.
Exact Assignment
All eight slots accept exactly one named starter card, and every assigned card must be in hand:
| Slot | Exact card |
|---|---|
docket | storyteller.card.wardrobe_laundry_ticket_docket.v1 |
batch_ticket | storyteller.card.wardrobe_laundry_batch_ticket.v1 |
manifest | storyteller.card.wardrobe_laundry_batch_manifest.v1 |
garment_tag | storyteller.card.wardrobe_laundry_disputed_garment_tag.v1 |
transfer_trace | storyteller.card.wardrobe_laundry_transfer_trace.v1 |
performer_claims | storyteller.card.wardrobe_laundry_performer_claims.v1 |
custodian | storyteller.card.wardrobe_laundry_batch_custodian.v1 |
future_reader | storyteller.card.wardrobe_laundry_identity_reader.v1 |
The rite requires a selected option and enforces each option’s evidence requirements. A catalog-visible card that is not in hand is not evidence.
Seven Branches
Each branch has a distinct relief, cost, batch identity state, and future effect:
seal_batch_residue— relief: preserves the mixed dye, allergen, and adhesive trace for assay; cost: all three garments remain held and the upcoming recap loses its costume shortcut; state:residue_sealed; future effect:batch_residue_assay_required.reconstruct_garment_membership— relief: rebuilds the WD-42 membership row garment by garment; cost: attendants must issue signed receipts and the route waits for the disputed tag to be reconciled; state:membership_reconstructed; future effect:garment_membership_receipts_required.recall_sibling_costumes— relief: prevents SJ-01, SJ-01B, or SP-7 from silently carrying the collision into another scene; cost: the lead, understudy, and sponsor route lose those costumes until inspection; state:sibling_recall_open; future effect:sibling_costume_recall_required.notify_exposed_performers— relief: gives the lead and understudy a chance to contest the identity map and seek care; cost: performer-claim heat rises and clearance pauses; state:performer_notice_open; future effect:performer_notice_and_medical_clearance_required.rewash_for_safety_destroy_trace— relief: removes the immediate allergen exposure; cost: the rewash destroys physical residue, records evidence-trace loss, and cannot certify who wore which piece; state:safety_rewashed_trace_destroyed; future effect:safety_only_trace_rebuild_required.split_safe_release_from_evidence_hold— relief: a medically cleared garment can return without releasing the disputed evidence set; cost: wardrobe must maintain separate safety and identity custody rows; state:safe_release_evidence_split; future effect:dual_custody_release_required.suppress_collision_default— relief: the recap keeps its fast costume-to-body mapping; cost: the collision becomes a durable suppressed scar and the wrong body may become canonical; state:collision_suppression_pending; future effect:suppressed_collision_default_pending.
Safety Is Not Identity Proof
rewash_for_safety_destroy_trace deliberately trades evidentiary integrity for performer safety. It raises performer safety while lowering batch-residue integrity and increasing evidence-trace loss. The resulting clean garment remains identity-unproven and requires a later trace rebuild.
Authority Boundary
The rite can establish batch membership and material transfer only. No branch grants current performer identity, costume-fit approval, sponsor clearance, performer consent, medical safety beyond the specific completed check, archive ownership, or universal broadcast permission.
