This storyline asks whether an offstage package can become visible to the signature chain without allowing mere receipt to impersonate testamentary consent, truth, probate, inheritance, or future-use authority.

Ordered executable chain

1. storyteller-rite-22-three-safe-versions drafts the safe archive and makes storyteller-event-19-ledger-demands-signature reachable.
2. Ledger Demands Signature is the sole focused packet source. Its common effects gain Mei Xu and twelve review candidates, preserve its selected source choice, open review, and create the exact pending triple.
3. Mei Xu Offstage Testament Intake Review (storyteller.rite.mei_xu_offstage_testament_intake_review.v1) requires Event 19 completion, the actual Mei Xu, all fixed evidence rows, one selected posture, the intake-only boundary, and an explicit selected disposition choice. The ordered replay/action log, not the generic in-hand receipt object alone, proves which Event 19 branch occurred.
4. Review choices 0–2 are terminal and clear the pending triple. Choice 3 records deliberate deferral while retaining the same triple.
5. Disaster Naming Rights (storyteller-rite-24-disaster-naming-rights) is the deadline. Once it completes, any still-pending intake—unreviewed or deliberately deferred—can resolve only through storyteller.event.mei_xu_unserved_testament_default.v1.

A manually gained person card, a packet without Event 19 completion and choice receipt, a virtual person, a missing fixed row, or a mismatched posture must fail before mutation. Ordered replay history proves the actual source event preceded review; mutable restored save state remains runtime state rather than historical proof.

Every choice uses the same exact storyteller.card.mei_xu_intake_only_authority_boundary.v1. The posture changes custody and Mei Xu’s disposition, never the scope of what intake can prove.

Pending and deadline contract

Event 19 creates all three flags together:

• mei_xu.testament_intake_pending;
• mei_xu.seal_state_unread;
• mei_xu.delivery_recipient_unconfirmed.

Immediate review terminals clear all three. Deferral keeps all three and records mei_xu.state.deferred_testament_intake_at_risk. Rite 24 does not silently resolve them; it makes the default available. The default accepts either an unreviewed source packet or the completed defer branch, but never fires after a terminal disposition.

All three clear the pending triple and review availability, set mei_xu.testament_intake_route_window_closed, remove Mei Xu, deny the route asset, record a distinct physical/intake disposition, and grant the testament-intake-failure scar.

Sole recruitment and bounded proof

Choice 0 alone grants route_asset.mei_xu_offstage_testament_intake_witness. The asset can prove package receipt or absence, handoff parties or absence, receiving window, observed seal state or absence, and Event 19’s source choice. It cannot prove author/signature, capacity/personhood/death, content/truth, consent/refusal, legal validity/probate, recipient acceptance, voice/image/archive/memorial rights, ownership/inheritance, or afteruse/future permission.

Replay evidence

• mei-xu-offstage-testament-intake-witness.recruit.replay.json must execute the real Event 19, assign the exact protected tuple, and resolve review choice 0 with Mei Xu retained and the sole route asset present.
• mei-xu-offstage-testament-intake-witness.unserved-default.replay.json must execute Event 19, leave the intake unreviewed or choose defer, cross the real Rite 24 deadline, and resolve default option 0 with Mei Xu removed, the pending triple cleared, the hard miss and failure scar present, and no route asset.

The focused runtime test should cover all four review choices, both default entry modes, and all three default terminals; reject card-only, partial-source, off-hand, mixed-posture, premature-default, post-terminal, and repeat-resolution attempts; and prove canon isolation and the intake-only authority boundary.
