Deferred proof debt is not harmless flavor. When a route, sponsor cut, archive waiver, caption patch, or public apology says “settle later”, the later reader must receive a concrete maturity notice tied to replay provenance.

The line begins when a prior relief row becomes consumable by a future reader but still carries unpaid proof, refund, custody, or correction burden. The producer can honor the notice, split it between lawful and public readers, contest it with a proof bridge, quarantine the matured copy, assign it to a route asset, post a public refund bond, or let it harden as default debt.

Playable pressure:

• a specific source relief row and replay anchor must be named;
• the future reader must be named before the notice can be consumed;
• the notice carries a maturity clock as state, not a fixed turn trigger;
• every branch preserves a cost or scar for the next route;
• ignoring the notice arms a default that makes future relief recovery-only.
