Uncarried Failure Takes Reality / 未承失败夺取现实
Uncarried Failure Takes Reality is the hardening event fired when a valid failure claim was visible or should have been visible, but the player did not name which failure the production would carry.
The event makes Storyteller’s core law explicit: a failure that nobody carries is not erased. It looks for the claimant with the strongest narration path and lets that claimant define the next broadcast reality.
Entry state

Default narrator selection
The strongest narrator is not always the highest counter. It is the row that can make reality stick first through a channel:
- inspector or archive row with lawful seizure power;
- sponsor row with clean-copy or contract capture;
- editor row with cutroom checksum or source custody;
- fan public row with oxygen receipt, public witness, or pirate relay amplification;
- route claimant row with physical custody or false-owner proof;
- blackout system row with schedule collapse or unstaffed lane;
- public audience row when drift becomes more legible than the official explanation.
Required mutation
The event must mutate at least one target and at least three counters or durable states.

Legal narrator takes reality
Inspector, archive, or mandate pressure defines the failure. Public stability may survive for a moment, but the route becomes lawful-only, inspection-bound, or appeal-bound.
Public narrator takes reality
Fan public, pirate relay, public receipt, or audience contradiction defines the failure. Private capture is blocked, but legal exposure, sponsor retaliation, witness exposure, or instability rises.
Sponsor or editor narrator takes reality
Contract or cutroom custody keeps the broadcast watchable. The cost is private capture, source ambiguity, public distrust, or later fraud.
Route claimant narrator takes reality
A claimant family, witness holder, field carrier, archive desk, or false owner captures the target. The broadcast may continue, but future use requires rescue, exchange, public contradiction, or recovery-only play.
Blackout narrator takes reality
The schedule, room, or staffing lane collapses. The false-clean version is blocked, but the future route is blackout-pressure or recovery-only.
Recovery promise
Recovery is possible only with scar. Valid recovery hooks include a lawful appeal, public receipt correction, sponsor unwind, editor source reveal, route asset rescue, witness protection, fan oxygen bond, or blackout recovery rite. The original uncarried row must remain visible as provenance.
Non-goals
- Not a random punishment event.
- Not a hidden priority table.
- Not a fixed-turn doom clock.
- Not a flavor-only consequence.
- Not a global game-over unless the accumulated route state makes recovery impossible elsewhere.
