This storyline binds Nera Quill to the existing P3 mirror-rose knife dispute. The object lane already proves that an old tape label is not universal prop authority. Nera’s line asks the next question: what happens to the worker whose handoff log, safety objection, condition, and continued availability determine whether a later reader can use that proof at all?

The central pressure is:

When sponsor and archive routes want one clean prop story, do you protect and recruit the person who can name the blade swap, narrow her testimony to one row, capture her inside a sponsor or archive desk, or let the clean recap erase her before a future reader arrives?

The line does not open because Nera’s card exists, because a fixed act begins, or because a relationship meter reaches a threshold. It opens when the named P3 row is about to be consumed by a later sponsor, archive, safety, performer, or route-asset reader.

Storyline spine

Beat 1 - The label survives the blade

The P3 tape label still says rehearsal-safe mirror-rose knife. The blade, handler context, and later use have changed. Nera is named in the original handler row, while performer consent and the safety-captain confirmation are absent.

Beat 2 - Nera objects or is absent

Create Nera Quill Prop Handoff Docket. The row must keep three things separate:

• Nera’s person-state;
• Nera’s physical condition or explicit absence;
• the tape-label and prop-custody state.

An injured Nera may give remote testimony or enter medical hold. A dead record may preserve the handoff log. Neither state is a living recruit, and neither creates consent.

Beat 3 - Competing desks ask for one clean signature

At least two pressures must be live: performer or stagehand safety, sponsor authenticity, archive extraction, inspector continuity, route-asset custody, production schedule, or public correction.

The pressure actor wants Nera’s handoff row to answer more than it can. The player must name the future reader before resolving the review.

Beat 4 - Handoff review changes her state

Run Nera Quill Prop Handoff Review. Every branch changes Nera’s person-state, at least one relief, at least one cost, and the future route’s acceptance state.

Beat 5 - Future play consumes the scar

A recruited Nera can certify one later prop or hazard handoff for a visible source row. A protected witness can preserve an objection but may raise inspection and sponsor pressure. Sponsor-captured or archive-compelled states narrow who trusts her. Hostile and missed states make later recovery costlier.

Missability and recovery

Nera becomes missable when the P3 handoff row is visible but a future reader consumes the old tape label before Nera or explicit absence, condition, objection, and proof bridge are recorded. Suppression is not the same as missing: a suppressed Nera becomes a hostile safety witness; a missed Nera may not return until a costly recovery hearing reopens the row.

Recovery requires at least one scar: publish the objection, reopen Oren Vale or Lian Mere’s claim, attach the handoff log and checksum, unwind sponsor capture, narrow archive use, pay witness protection, quarantine the prop row, or preserve a posthumous log without treating it as consent.
