Mian Tai / 绵苔 — Backstage Medicine Broker
Mian Tai sells legal sedation patches backstage and keeps a smaller illegal stock intended for withdrawal crises. She knows which batch came from a sponsor clinic, which was diverted by a night-shift runner, who currently holds it, and which unpaid favor will be collected if the stock survives.
Her source card already promises a persistent, recruitable, missable person first encountered through storyteller-event-04-saint-withdrawal. It names clinic_trust, withdrawal_heat, medicine_debt, an available-supply flag, and a supply-raided failure flag. The source event, however, currently resolves only whether an AI voice covers the interruption or the broadcast admits the artist’s pain. It does not make Mian Tai, her stock, her custody, or her miss state playable.
Identity and authority
Mian Tai is a supply broker and custody witness. She can identify one medicine batch’s source, current keeper, diversion history, medicine debt, and raid exposure. She can refuse a handoff, place stock in escrow, reveal a ledger, or help route a named artist toward an independent licensed clinician.
She is not a physician, pharmacist, diagnostician, prescriber, oxygen allocator, queue registrar, injury-attribution witness, or voice-rights custodian. Possessing legal sedation stock does not authorize administration. Preserving illegal withdrawal medicine does not authorize its use.
