Public Contrition Ledger / 公开悔过账本

A Public Contrition Ledger is a durable broadcast-facing card for the moment when Storyteller cannot stabilize a wound by hiding it, cutting around it, or paying a faction. Somebody must say what happened on screen, decide who signs that statement, and accept the route debt created by the wording.

The card turns apology, refusal, correction, lawful admission, sponsor-safe regret, fan receipt, and edited contrition into game objects. A statement is not flavor. It becomes a custody surface: who owns the remorse text, whose harm is named, which proof is attached, and which future branch becomes easier, harder, hostile, or recovery-only.

Creation trigger

Create or update this card when all of the following are true:

1. a broadcast-facing harm, contradiction, seizure, witness leak, clean-ending dispute, oxygen claim, artist refusal, audience floor breach, or route-asset injury is live;
2. public explanation is demanded by at least two claimant surfaces: artist, fan public, sponsor, inspector, archive, editor, management, pirate relay, or schedule board;
3. at least one signatory, speaker, or deliberate absence can be recorded;
4. at least one proof or liability anchor exists: source tape, body/voice receipt, fan oxygen row, archive seal, witness payroll row, faction ledger, cutroom receipt, route-asset docket, or explicit missing proof;
5. the statement can still change audience stability, artist trust, sponsor liability, inspection heat, route availability, broadcast reality, or future public receipt legitimacy.

This card is state-triggered. It is never created by a fixed numbered turn.

Durable statement states

Assignment affordances

The ledger can be assigned as:

• a public statement object in a hearing where one signatory must be chosen and at least one claimant is omitted;
• proof that a faction already controls apology wording;
• an audience-stability bridge when the show is still legible but morally unstable;
• a route-asset scar when an artist, witness, fan public, or sponsor becomes attached to the aired words;
• a future contradiction seed when a sponsor-safe statement conflicts with source proof.

Non-goals

• Not generic PR flavor.
• Not a global morality meter.
• Not a fixed-turn press conference.
• Not a clean way to satisfy artist, fans, sponsor, inspector, editor, and schedule at once.
• Not a substitute for custody, oxygen, drift, or faction ledgers; it records the public words that make those pressures visible.
