Public Contrition Hearing / 公开悔过听证

Public Contrition Hearing is the assignable management rite that decides who signs, speaks, seals, cuts, censors, witnesses, or refuses the public statement after a broadcast wound.

The rite exists because a public apology in Storyteller is never just text. It can stabilize audience attention, restore fan oxygen legitimacy, protect an artist boundary, reduce sponsor pressure, create lawful admission, hide a source, or harden a false public version.

Offer conditions

Offer this rite when all of the following are true:

1. 公开悔过账本 exists or can be created from a live harm surface;
2. at least two claimant surfaces demand incompatible wording or silence;
3. at least one signatory, speaker, censor, witness, seal, editor, sponsor clause, or explicit absence can be assigned;
4. at least one proof or liability anchor exists or is explicitly absent;
5. the statement can still alter audience stability, public receipt legitimacy, artist trust, sponsor stop-loss pressure, inspection heat, broadcast reality, route-asset state, or future assignment cost.

This rite is state-driven and must not be offered by fixed turn count.

The rite cannot resolve with a generic apology action. It must record who speaks, which clause wins, what proof anchors the statement, and which claimant is omitted.

Branches

Branch A — Artist or witness boundary statement

The player assigns an artist, witness, Yu Lan, source receipt, refusal proof, or public witness to name the harm and preserve a boundary.

Expected outcomes:

• statement_state = artist_boundary_signed or public_contrition_live;
• artist_trust, mira_consent_integrity, public_receipt_legitimacy, or fan_oxygen_balance improves;
• sponsor_stop_loss_pressure, inspection_heat, witness_exposure, route_asset_pressure, or retaliation risk rises;
• a future sponsor-clean branch is blocked, costlier, or publicly contested.

Branch B — Sponsor-sanitized regret

The player assigns Shen Luo, Orion Breath, sponsor language, settlement wording, stop-loss authority, or schedule rescue to air limited regret.

Expected outcomes:

• statement_state = sponsor_sanitized_text;
• sponsor_stop_loss_pressure, immediate slot pressure, or budget strain may improve;
• contract_capture, public_receipt_distrust, artist_trust_loss, fan_oxygen_resentment, or future correction cost rises;
• 悔过反震破口 is armed if omitted harm remains live.

Branch C — Inspector-sealed admission

The player assigns Inspector Rhee, Han Yanshuang, archive seal, white-glove audit, lawful service, or admissible proof.

Expected outcomes:

• statement_state = inspector_admission_sealed;
• archive_fraud, reality_drift, custody_gap, or public uncertainty improves;
• inspection_heat, bureau_favor_debt, legal_liability, sponsor_stop_loss_pressure, or schedule pressure rises;
• later sponsor or editor cleanup cannot erase the admission without drift debt.

Branch D — Editor-cut contrition

The player assigns Han Cutroom, Baiya, edit hours, checksum proof, redaction, alias, or safe cut.

Expected outcomes:

• statement_state = editor_cut_contrition;
• audience_churn, continuity_hazard, or immediate broadcast legibility improves;
• edit_debt, reality_drift, source_ambiguity, public_receipt_distrust, or future_fraud_cost rises;
• a later source release can challenge the edited statement.

Branch E — Fan receipt apology

The player attaches fan oxygen row, memorial credit, refund promise, public queue proof, pirate relay witness, or unauthorized historian receipt.

Expected outcomes:

• statement_state = fan_receipt_attached or public_contrition_live;
• fan_oxygen_balance, public_receipt_legitimacy, audience_stability, or public grief stability improves;
• sponsor_stop_loss_pressure, inspection_heat, fan_oxygen_liability, oxygen_debt, or public queue capture risk rises;
• future fan public can audit whether the promised remedy was paid.

Branch F — Delay, withhold, or let claimant narrate first

The player refuses to sign, lacks proof, hides the statement, delays for schedule reasons, or lets sponsor/archive/fan/editor/pirate narration arrive first.

Expected outcomes:

• statement_state = statement_withheld, hollow_apology_backlash, contrition_captured_by_claimant, or equivalent;
• 悔过反震破口 fires or is recorded;
• at least one future public receipt, audience floor, artist/witness route, sponsor settlement, or drift correction becomes blocked, costlier, hostile, captured, or recovery-only.

Resolution contract

Every resolution must write back to 公开悔过账本:

• statement_state_before and statement_state_after;
• selected signatory and omitted claimant;
• selected clause family;
• proof anchor or explicit absence;
• broadcast surface used or delayed;
• at least three counter or durable-state deltas;
• one future route effect.

At least one delta must be relief and at least one must be cost. A clean apology that satisfies every claimant is invalid.
