Faction Overcommit Break / 派系过度承诺破口
Faction Overcommit Break is the visible breach event for a faction that has committed too much leverage, been forced into an incompatible promise, or had its private commitment exposed by another faction.
It turns non-player pressure into state change. A sponsor cannot keep buying every wound for free. An inspector cannot freeze every route without heat. A fan public cannot protect every witness without oxygen strain. An editor cannot patch every contradiction without edit debt. An archive desk cannot seize every proof object without opacity and backlash.
Entry condition
Fire or record this event when the state contains:
- 派系承诺账本 or equivalent commitment record;
- one claimant row with
spend_state = overcommitted,accepted_without_proof,split_and_exposed,frozen_too_long,countered_by_public_proof,coalition_broken, or equivalent; - at least one opposing faction, public witness, archive seal, fan queue, edit checksum, sponsor clause, or route asset that can make the contradiction visible;
- a future consequence that changes route access, faction posture, counter movement, or custody state.
This event is state-triggered only. It must not be scheduled by a fixed numbered turn.
Common causes
- The player accepts sponsor escrow while fan public proof remains unpaid.
- An inspector freezes a claim after sponsor money has already promised clean relief.
- A fan oxygen queue publicly funds a witness that an editor has already masked.
- An archive desk claims a docket while the sponsor claims naming-rights ownership.
- A pirate relay reveals the private commitment that made a public settlement dishonest.
- The player baits a faction into spending a scarce seal, queue, edit hold, escrow package, or seizure team and then counters it with stronger proof.
Branch outcomes
Sponsor overcommit breaks
Expected result:
- sponsor relief or slot pressure may decrease once;
contract_capture,public_receipt_distrust,sponsor_stop_loss_pressure, orfuture_blackmail_costrises;- a fan, inspector, archive, or artist route gains counterproof against the sponsor.
Inspector overreach breaks
Expected result:
custody_clarity,archive_fraud, orreality_driftmay improve;inspection_heat,bureau_favor_debt,audience_churn, orsponsor_stop_loss_pressurerises;- a public or sponsor claimant can accuse the inspector of freezing grief or commerce.
Fan oxygen overcommit breaks
Expected result:
public_receipt_legitimacy,fan_oxygen_balance, oraudience_stabilitymay improve;fan_oxygen_resentment,witness_retaliation_risk,sponsor_stop_loss_pressure, orpirate_exposurerises;- future public shelter costs more or becomes recovery-only.
Editor overcommit breaks
Expected result:
continuity_hazard,audience_churn, or route legibility may improve;edit_debt,archive_debt,reality_drift, orpublic_receipt_distrustrises;- later public proof requires checksum, confession, or source tape.
Archive overcommit breaks
Expected result:
archive_signature_legitimacy,custody_clarity, orarchive_fraudmay improve;archive_debt,public_opacity,fan_oxygen_resentment, orroute_asset_pressurerises;- a claimant can frame the archive desk as owning the story rather than preserving it.
Resolution contract
Every resolution must record:
- the overcommitted faction row;
- the commitment type that broke;
- the opposing proof or faction that made it visible;
- one relief movement;
- one cost movement;
- one future route effect, posture change, or recovery hook.
A branch fails this event contract if it only says a faction is angry without changing counters, route access, card state, or future offer shape.

- Not a random punishment event.
- Not a generic faction reputation drop.
- Not an economy tick.
- Not a fixed-turn retaliation.
- Not a clean cancellation of earlier relief; the relief may remain true while the overcommitment becomes a new cost.
