Faction Commitment Ledger / 派系承诺账本机制

Faction Commitment Ledger is the mechanism for making non-player faction pressure finite, comparable, and manipulable.

Recent Storyteller content makes sponsor, fan, inspector, archive, editor, and route-asset pressure visible. The next playable gap is that those factions can still feel like they react with unlimited leverage. This mechanism requires a faction to commit a specific reserve before it receives control: escrow, lien, fan oxygen queue, edit hours, archive seal, public witness legitimacy, seizure team, relay attention, silence retainer, or equivalent.

The player can then accept, split, freeze, counter, bait, expose, or default that commitment.

Mechanism entry

Open or update a faction commitment ledger when all of the following are true:

  1. a contested surface exists: oxygen claim, archive order, settlement aftershock, claimant collision, public receipt, route asset, witness, memorial right, black-box cut, voice/body receipt, audience scar, or equivalent;
  2. at least two factions can plausibly commit leverage to that surface, or one faction has already declared leverage that another faction can counter;
  3. at least one faction’s pressure can be represented as a concrete spend, hold, lien, pledge, retainer, public queue, edit capacity, audit seal, seizure team, or equivalent;
  4. the player can still accept, reject, split, freeze, publish, counter, bait overcommitment, or allow silent capture;
  5. the surface has not reached terminal settlement, final seizure, terminal public discharge, clean disappearance, or irreversible route lock.

This mechanism has no fixed numbered trigger. It is driven by live faction commitment state.

Primary design problem

Without this mechanism, factions become infinite narrators of pressure:

  • sponsor stop-loss can appear every time without spending sponsor leverage;
  • inspector authority can freeze every claim without political heat;
  • fan oxygen can rescue every public wound without queue strain;
  • editors can patch every contradiction without capacity or debt;
  • archives can seize every proof object without public opacity or backlash.

The commitment ledger turns those pressures into committed bids that can be exhausted, countered, redirected, exposed, or forced into coalition.

Core objects

A satisfying implementation should expose equivalent versions of:

  • 派系承诺账本 to record contested surface, claimant rows, commitment type, demanded control, spend state, and proof anchor;
  • 派系承诺听证 to assign ledger, claimant, counterweight, handler, and price;
  • 派系过度承诺破口 to mutate state when a faction spends too much, breaks an incompatible promise, or is exposed by counterproof;
  • durable faction posture states used by later offers and route costs.

Faction reserves

These are in-world reserves, not generic currencies. Implementation names may differ, but every committed row must expose what was spent and what control it demands.

State machine

StateMeaningRequired playable consequence
commitment_unopenedFaction pressure exists but no row has declared concrete leverage.Hearing, default, or silent capture remains possible.
commitment_declaredOne faction has declared a spend/control package.Player can accept, counter, freeze, expose, or ignore.
counter_commitment_openA rival faction can answer the first commitment.Branches must compare incompatible relief and demanded control.
commitment_acceptedPlayer accepts one commitment.One pressure improves and at least one rival pressure or future route cost worsens.
commitment_splitPlayer divides control, proof, payment, or custody between claimants.Immediate collapse may reduce while ambiguity and aftershock remain.
commitment_frozenPlayer holds the commitment under proof, audit, edit, quarantine, or public delay.Fraud or drift may improve while schedule, fan, sponsor, or bureau pressure rises.
public_countercommitmentPublic proof or fan oxygen counters a private commitment.Public legitimacy improves while sponsor, inspection, exposure, or route risk rises.
faction_overcommittedA faction spends beyond what the surface can absorb.It can become exhausted, hostile, embarrassed, countered, or forced into coalition.
faction_exhaustedA faction cannot repeat the same pressure cleanly.Future offers from that faction change, cost more, or require a new reserve.
coalition_formedTwo factions combine demands against the player.Single-faction relief becomes harder; combined cost or lock appears.
silent_captureA commitment is accepted or ignored without visible counterproof.Wrong ownership, private control, or route law hardens.
faction_hostileRejected, exposed, or unpaid commitment becomes retaliation.Breach, route block, hostile claimant, or future pressure spike appears.

Branch contract

Branch A — Accept commitment

The player accepts a sponsor, inspector, fan, archive, editor, pirate, or management commitment.

Expected outcome:

  • commitment_state = commitment_accepted or faction-specific equivalent;
  • one pressure or resource surface improves;
  • rival posture, custody debt, public distrust, route cost, or future capture risk worsens.

Branch B — Split commitment

The player divides control between factions.

Expected outcome:

  • commitment_state = commitment_split;
  • immediate collapse, stop-loss, fraud, or route lock may improve;
  • at least one ambiguity, aftershock, public distrust, archive debt, fan resentment, or future fraud cost rises.

Branch C — Freeze commitment

The player refuses payout until audit, proof, edit checksum, quarantine, or public naming catches up.

Expected outcome:

  • commitment_state = commitment_frozen;
  • false-owner pressure, drift, fraud, or custody gap may improve;
  • schedule pressure, audience churn, sponsor objection, fan resentment, or bureau favor debt rises.

Branch D — Countercommit through public proof

The player uses a public receipt, fan oxygen, pirate relay, Yu Lan, witness chain, or other proof to counter a private faction commitment.

Expected outcome:

  • commitment_state = public_countercommitment or equivalent;
  • public receipt legitimacy, fan oxygen balance, or audience stability improves;
  • sponsor stop-loss, inspection heat, witness retaliation, route exposure, or pirate risk rises.

Branch E — Bait overcommitment

The player lets a faction spend leverage into a surface and then exposes incompatible proof, a rival claim, or a route asset that makes the spend excessive.

Expected outcome:

  • commitment_state = faction_overcommitted or faction_exhausted;
  • 派系过度承诺破口 fires or is recorded;
  • future clean pressure from that faction changes, is delayed, becomes costlier, or turns hostile.

Branch F — Default into capture or coalition

The player lacks credible handler, hides the ledger, ignores declared commitment, or lets a faction narrate the price first.

Expected outcome:

  • commitment_state = silent_capture, coalition_formed, faction_hostile, or equivalent;
  • future route access becomes blocked, costlier, hostile, captured, or recovery-only;
  • at least three counters or durable states change.

Counter contract

Every resolution or breach must move at least three counters or durable states. At least one must be visible relief and at least one must be visible cost.

Non-goals

  • Not a global economy layer.
  • Not a generic faction reputation meter.
  • Not a dashboard governance mechanism.
  • Not a fixed-turn bidding phase.
  • Not a clean universal settlement tool.
  • Not a replacement for route-asset custody, oxygen exchange, archive enforcement, or settlement aftershock; it makes faction commitments around those surfaces finite and observable.
