Han Cutroom Storyline

Bound character: Han Cutroom

Observed by editor-han-cutroom-final-cut-custody.lens.

Storyline promise

Han is the cutroom source custodian who can make a final performance legible, bury it safely, expose it publicly, or lose it to sponsor/archive/inspector capture. The player should feel Han as a management-RPG asset: recruitable, missable, protectable, suppressible, and dangerous when hostile.

This storyline turns the old branch contract into a pack of playable custody content around last-performance, unedited-live-vocal-master, voice custody pressure, receipt disputes, and the route asset state machine in route-assets-and-custody.

State-triggered entry

Open Han’s offer surface when all of the following are true:

  1. a final-cut object is unresolved: schedule.last_performance, unedited live vocal master, voice custody injunction, black-box echo, receipt packet, memorial air copy, or equivalent source object;
  2. the final cut is contested by at least two claimants: artist, sponsor, archive, inspector, fan witness, editor authority, or AI voice claimant;
  3. Han is not already protected as a durable route asset;
  4. at least one pressure counter is live: voice_integrity, archive_debt, artist_trust_loss, inspection_heat, sponsor_stop_loss_pressure, public_receipt_legitimacy, fan_oxygen_resentment, or black_screen_slots.

Do not trigger this storyline from a fixed numbered turn. It is entered from source custody state, schedule/cut state, and claimant pressure.

Content pack

Characters

  • Han Cutroom — bound character, cutroom editor, source custodian, potential route asset or hostile witness.
  • Mira Veil or equivalent collapsing/final-performance artist — the performer whose final voice is being cut, preserved, replaced, or hidden.
  • Orion Breath or equivalent sponsor claimant — wants a clean ending, branded grief, or controllable voice model.
  • Inspector Rhee Archive or equivalent archive inspector — tests whether voice custody and receipt chains are lawful.
  • Baiya or equivalent black-box editor — can contest, copy, redact, or weaponize Han’s cutroom source.

Cards and custody objects

  • Last Performance — schedule contract that creates final-cut pressure.
  • 未剪辑真唱母带 — source proof that can validate, contradict, or endanger Han’s cut.
  • Voice Custody Injunction — legal pressure against unlawful final voice use.
  • Black Screen: Unlicensed Echo — failure artifact when the final voice airs without valid custody.
  • cutroom_receipt_stub — proof that Han handled the cut before sponsor/archive replacement.
  • weathered_cutroom_copy — damaged but admissible source copy; stronger with Han protected, dangerous if Han is hostile.
  • artist_refusal_marker — indicates the artist rejected a clean sponsor ending.
  • sponsor_clean_ending_order — pressure card that can capture Han or force suppression.

Rites

rite.offer_cutroom_source_custodian

Han appears as a possible editor/custody asset when the final cut is contested. The player may recruit, bargain, ignore, threaten, or expose.

Inputs:

  • contested final-cut object;
  • at least one claimant faction;
  • payment, favor, protection, proof object, or coercive leverage.

Outputs:

  • han_offered and then one of han_recruited_cutroom_source_custodian, han_missed_after_final_cut_lock, han_hostile_witness, or han_captured_by_sponsor.

rite.protect_final_take_chain

The player assigns Han plus a source proof object to preserve custody of the final take.

This unlock continues into Han Protected Final-Take Chain. Setting rite.protect_final_take_chain.unlocked alone does not satisfy the route: the follow-on rite must bind one take, source, artist boundary, receipt, editor protection, release channel, and future reader.

Useful assignments:

  • Han as editor/custodian;
  • unedited-live-vocal-master or equivalent source proof;
  • voice-rights token, archive receipt, fan witness, or inspection shield.

Positive output must still cost something: favor debt, inspection heat, sponsor pressure, artist exhaustion, fan resentment, or lost schedule flexibility.

rite.publish_cutroom_receipt

Han’s cutroom stub or weathered copy is used to contradict a sponsor/archive/AI voice claim in public.

Outputs:

  • public_confession_cut, receipt_publicly_split, or fan_stub_witnesses_mobilized;
  • public_receipt_legitimacy +1;
  • sponsor_stop_loss_pressure +1, inspection_heat +1, or archive_debt +1.

rite.recut_with_artist_refusal

The player asks Han to preserve an artist’s refusal rather than clean the ending for sponsor safety.

Outputs:

  • protective_snowing_cut or public_confession_cut;
  • voice_integrity +1 or artist_trust_loss -1;
  • fan_oxygen_resentment +1, public_receipt_legitimacy -1, or sponsor_stop_loss_pressure +1 depending on whether the refusal is hidden or aired.

rite.suppress_han_cut

The player removes Han’s source copy, threatens the cutroom, or routes the ending through sponsor/archive/AI control.

Outputs:

  • han_missed_after_final_cut_lock, han_hostile_witness, han_captured_by_sponsor, captured_cutroom_copy, or false_cutroom_owner_established;
  • clean-looking short-term control;
  • artist_trust_loss +1, archive_debt +1, inspection_heat +1, archive_fraud +1, or black_screen_slots +1.

rite.exchange_cutroom_copy

A negotiation branch with sponsor, archive, inspector, or fan witness. The player can exchange Han’s copy for a temporary pressure reduction, but cannot erase all future custody risk.

Outputs:

  • immediate sponsor_stop_loss_pressure -1 or inspection_heat -1;
  • one of archive_debt +1, custody_gap +1, public_receipt_legitimacy -1, or han_captured_by_archive.

Events

event.cutroom_copy_spotted

Han is seen carrying a final-take stub, weathered cut, refusal marker, or unlicensed source copy. This offers Han as a route asset or suspect.

event.final_take_counterreceipt

A sponsor, archive, or AI voice claimant says their version is the lawful cut. Han’s copy can verify, split, or contradict the claim.

event.sponsor_requests_clean_ending

The sponsor demands deletion of public refusal, conversion to branded grief, or replacement by controlled voice model.

event.inspector_demands_voice_token

Inspector pressure tests whether the final voice can be preserved, aired, memorialized, or digitally resurrected.

event.han_leaks_weathered_cut

If Han is unprotected, hostile, or captured, the damaged cut leaks before custody is settled. It may increase public legitimacy while worsening inspection/sponsor pressure.

event.black_screen_unlicensed_echo

If the final voice airs without valid custody or a false owner hardens, the route can emit Black Screen: Unlicensed Echo and lock clean custody until a later recovery branch.

Branches

Branch A — Recruit Han as cutroom source custodian

The player pays, protects, or persuades Han before the final cut locks into another claimant’s custody.

Expected outcomes:

  • add han_recruited_cutroom_source_custodian or route_asset.han_cutroom_source_custodian;
  • unlock rite.protect_final_take_chain, rite.publish_cutroom_receipt, or rite.recut_with_artist_refusal;
  • cutroom_trust +1, voice_integrity +1, receipt_legitimacy +1, or custody_gap -1;
  • cost: inspection_heat +1, sponsor_stop_loss_pressure +1, favor_debt +1, artist_exhaustion +1, or fan_oxygen_resentment +1.

Branch B — Public confession

Han helps air confession, refusal, or anti-company evidence. The public gets a truer final artifact, but sponsor and inspection pressure rise.

Expected outcomes:

  • add public_confession_cut;
  • public_receipt_legitimacy +1, voice_integrity +1, or fan_oxygen_resentment -1;
  • sponsor_stop_loss_pressure +1, inspection_heat +1, or archive_debt +1;
  • clean sponsor ending becomes unavailable or more expensive.

Branch C — Protective snowing

Han hides the public artifact while preserving the artist’s refusal, safety, or offstage survival. This protects the person while injuring public access.

Expected outcomes:

  • add protective_snowing_cut and remove public-stage availability for the artist;
  • artist_trust_loss -1 or voice_integrity +1;
  • public_receipt_legitimacy -1, fan_oxygen_resentment +1, or archive_debt +1.

Branch D — Suppression, capture, or false owner

The player ignores Han, threatens the cutroom, lets sponsor/archive capture Han, or allows a wrong claimant to harden around the final cut.

Expected outcomes:

  • add han_missed_after_final_cut_lock, han_hostile_witness, han_captured_by_sponsor, han_captured_by_archive, captured_cutroom_copy, or false_cutroom_owner_established;
  • unlock or worsen stage_accident_cover_story, digital_resurrection_without_voice_token, archive_fraud, or black-screen echo;
  • artist_trust_loss +1, archive_debt +1, inspection_heat +1, archive_fraud +1, or black_screen_slots +1.

Branch E — Counter-receipt hearing

A contested receipt pulls Han into receipt-packet-counterclaim and receipt-counterclaim-hearing. Han can verify the final-take chain or become a hostile witness.

Expected outcomes:

  • defended branch: receipt_legitimacy +1, custody_gap -1, and nonzero cost;
  • public branch: receipt_publicly_split or fan_stub_witnesses_mobilized;
  • failure branch: false_cutroom_owner_established, han_hostile_witness, or captured_cutroom_copy.

Recruitability and missability

Han is recruitable when Han is offered, the final-cut object is unresolved, and the player can assign at least one of payment, protection, source proof, favor, legal shield, fan witness, or credible threat.

Han is missed when the final cut becomes locked by another claimant, the player suppresses the cutroom without protection, or Han is captured/hostile before recruitment. A missed Han must remove at least one clean final-cut option and raise at least one durable pressure counter.

Recruiting Han should never erase all risk. Missing Han should never be only a line of prose.

Endings unlocked or changed

  • public_confession — stronger with recruited/protected Han and source proof.
  • protective_snowing — available when Han can hide the public artifact while preserving refusal/safety.
  • stage_accident — easier after suppression, missed Han, or sponsor capture.
  • digital_resurrection — legal only with valid voice custody; otherwise risks archive_fraud or inspector escalation.
  • signal_break / black_screen_unlicensed_echo — failure path when final voice/cut custody collapses.

Lens contract

editor-han-cutroom-final-cut-custody.lens should fail unless the implementation proves:

  • Han has a durable route asset state;
  • Han is assignable to at least one final-cut, receipt, voice, or archive rite;
  • recruited/protected Han and missed/hostile/captured Han diverge;
  • positive outcomes are costed;
  • suppression or false ownership creates durable consequences;
  • entry is state-triggered, not tied to a fixed numbered turn.

Non-goals

  • Not a fixed-turn continuation.
  • Not a generic editor biography.
  • Not bulk filler.
  • Not a free way to solve sponsor, archive, inspector, fan, or artist pressure.
  • Not governance or process text.
